At the intersection of character and drinkability lives the golden needle—a moderately oxidized black tea that, like it's white counterpart silver needle, is comprised entirely of buds. Plucked in May of 2019, this harvest of changye baihao cultivar comes from Simao in Yunnan, China.
We love the malt and sweet cocoa on the nose, as well as the solid tannins on the finish. Bold enough to pair with a rich breakfast, but smooth enough to drink all day, this caffeine and theanine rich tea kicks the energy and focus into high gear and never brings you crashing down.
